Lilypad, aka John Elliott of Cleveland drone thugz Emeralds has spent much of the past year blazing a cryptic trail of unattributed, trade-only cassettes, putting in some serious patchcord abuse in the service of what’s shaping up like the fucking corpus hermeticum of the Korg MS-10. This marks his second cdr release, the first since 2006′s Sick, on Wagon, and a clear indicator of the intense, fucked-up trajectory he’s been on since then…not afraid in the least to bring the Subotnick-grade shred, the alpha-wave synchronizing throb, or the unhinged mess of hard tape edits throughout the blown-out, wrecked-as-fuck, legend-of-zelda-on-ketamine soundsystem eater that is the 20-minute closer on this sesh. Pulls no fucking punches whatsoever.
